Visiting the School Campus
Visitors to the School Campus
All parents and visitors must sign in at the School Front Reception and pick up a Visitor lanyard when coming onto the School campus in any capacity. This includes volunteers and visits to classroom activities, Chapel etc. Any person on the school campus without a visitor lanyard will be spoken to by School staff and asked to return to the Front Reception to sign in. This is a WH&S requirement and is essential to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
Parents do not need to report to Front Reception or wear a lanyard for school events that involve multiple visitors (such as parent-teacher meetings or social functions). During events, clear signage will be displayed at the entrance to the School and staff and/or student representatives will be on hand to assist in directing visitors to and from the venue.
Parents who have made an appointment in advance with a staff member are asked to sign in at Front Reception and wait for the staff member to meet with them.
Parents who have items that need to be delivered to their child during the day should leave these with Front Reception staff for pick up by students. Please do not visit classrooms as this can be very disruptive for teachers and students.
All visitors are asked to comply with all relevant policies and guidelines outlined in the Code of Conduct for Volunteers. These relate to the safety of others within the School community whilst on school grounds.
Parents are also expected to be familiar and comply with rules regarding driving on SCAS grounds, parking, pick-up and drop-off routines.
Emergency Procedures
Visitors to the School campus are asked to be familiar with the School's emergency procedures and follow the directions of relevant staff should they be onsite or at a SCAS event when an accident, drill or emergency occurs.
St Columba Anglican School will not accept any responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal items. Please keep your bags and valuables with you at all times whilst on the School campus.
Playing on school equipment can be dangerous. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
