Primary School
The Primary School Student Leadership Committee (SLC) comprises the Primary School Captains, Vice Captains, House Captains, SLC Media, Chairperson and Secretary. Students who nominate for these positions are shortlisted by staff prior to student voting. Primary Captain positions are announced at the Year 3 to 6 Awards Day and House Captains at Assembly in the following year.
During Year 6, students may apply to become Student Leaders or Seniors. These applicants must address how they have made a positive contribution to the Primary School. If the application is accepted, the student will be presented with a badge during an assembly. Students in Primary years are encouraged to approach their House Leaders and/or the School Leaders on any matters that concern student conditions, social events and fundraising. Deputy Director of Wellbeing guides the SLC and oversees compliance to leadership expectations.

The Student Leadership Committee aims to provide leadership of the student body and operates in the areas of the School’s assemblies, Chapel and other liturgies, fundraising, and social functions. The Committee can also act as a forum for discussion and initiatives, and has input into the decision-making procedures affecting student conditions. Students are encouraged to approach their leaders on any of these matters.
In addition to Student Leadership Council and related positions, many programs run during the Pastoral Care program allowing ‘drop in, drop out’ opportunities for Leadership including Primary Reading programs, Peer Tutoring, Shared Interest Activities, Peer Support programs and service activities.
