Giving to St Columba
Donations are welcomed at any time to help provide the best educational opportunities and facilities for our students. We offer several ways to give to the School that provide tax benefits to the donor. You can direct your gift to the Fund of your choice, and all donations of $2 and above are Tax Deductible. There are four Tax Deductible Funds: the Scholarship Fund, the Building Fund, the Library Fund, and the recently established SCAS Foundation.
The Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students who will add to the richness and diversity of the SCAS student body. All donations to this fund go directly to help support and build our Scholarship Program.
The Building Fund
The future development of St Columba Anglican School relies considerably on money raised through voluntary contributions to the Building Fund. The Building Fund finances ongoing capital works projects and major renovations to provide excellent educational facilities for today and into the future. Please see the Building Fund Brochure for more information on the Building Fund.
The Library Fund
The Library Fund was established to assist in the ongoing development of the School's Dawson Library as a learning centre and research hub. Donations to the Library Fund improve facilities for all students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
The SCAS Foundation
The St Columba Anglican School Foundation was created to ensure that the highest educational aspirations are within reach of everyone, regardless of their location or circumstances. The goal of the Foundation is to raise funds to provide specialist educational facilities, student scholarships and assistance schemes to open up 'a world of opportunities' for everyone wishing to enrol at St Columba. The Foundation will have a perpetual impact on the School, our local community and the lives of our young people.
Bequests
A bequest is a special gift in your Will that allows you to make a lasting gift to something that you care about. By making a bequest to St Columba Anglican School, you can retain the use and enjoyment of your assets during your lifetime and still provide a valuable gift to help the School in the future. This is a very personal decision. You should seek the advice of your solicitor on the best way to include a bequest to St Columba Anglican School, which can also be directed to one of the four Tax Deductible Funds.
