Important Information regarding Canteen Ordering

Cancelling Lunch Orders

If you need to cancel an order, you will need to do so by 2.30pm on the day of the order to receive a refund. Orders cannot be cancelled and refunded after this time.

How To Order

The Canteen uses the My School Connect online ordering system, and also accepts cash orders placed in a clearly marked paper bag with child's name, class and food order. Please note that orders must be placed prior to 8.30am

To register for the My School Connect online ordering system, simply follow these instructions or go to and click "Join Today". You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete your registration. Once registered, you can start placing orders immediately. The online menu is the same price as the normal Canteen menu, however, there is a small fee of 20 cents per online order to help pay for the labels and website system. My School Connect also have a Phone App available on the App Store or Google Play.

Students who are signed up to the My School Connect system, and who have a Student ID card, can use their ID card to make purchases over the counter for both Long and Short Break. For information on how to link your Student ID card to My School Connect, see the link here.

Forgotten Lunches and Recess

Students who forget their lunch can get an emergency lunch pack from the Canteen.  These requests will need to be authorised by their teacher or year patron, and students will be given the choice of a vegemite, ham or cheese sandwich and a piece of fruit at a cost of $6.00. Students can also pick up a short break option of a Choc Chip Muffin for an additional $3.00. An email will be sent to parents to notify you and advise of payment due. Payments for emergency lunches will be accepted via My School Connect only.  Parents who do not have access to the My School Connect system should contact the school to arrange payment. 

Need to pay an IOU? 

In either the My School Connect App or on a Desktop - select "Order Food", and select the student who has the IOU owing. The IOU payment tab is the last selection on this screen. Once the IOU is selected, select "Confirm Order" at the top right of the next screen. 

Iona Cafe

The Iona Cafe is for staff and senior students in Years 11 and 12.

The Iona Cafe has created the framework for senior students to have a ‘time out’, an effective study location and a reflective area that can be used for mentor meetings or a catch up with friends. It also provides staff with the convenience of not having to travel to get a coffee and promotes the integration of faculties within the teaching environment.
