Canteen and Iona Cafe
Canteen - "The Lunchbox"
The Lunchbox is the School's canteen and is open every school day.
Lunch orders can be placed through Flexischools online, by writing up orders and placing payment in a lunch order bag, or alternatively students can purchase food during breaks.
Please place orders before 9:00am either through Flexischools or by a lunch order bag via the classroom teacher for Primary students, or for Secondary students, lunch order bags delivered directly to the Canteen before the start of school. Primary students are not permitted to go to the Canteen during eating time to purchase lunch.
To register for the Flexischools online ordering system, simply go to www.flexischools.com.au and click "Register Now". You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete your registration. Once registered, you can start placing orders immediately. The online menu is the same price as the normal Canteen menu, however there is a small fee of 25 cents per online order to help pay for the labels and website system. Flexischools also have a Phone App available on the App Store or Google Play.
Students who are signed up to the Flexischools system can also use their Student ID card to make purchases over the counter at the canteen. For information on how to link your Student ID card to Flexischools, see the link here.
In the case of a student who has forgotten their lunch, a Canteen IOU will be issued to the student by a teacher or member of the office staff. Students will be supplied with a a lunch pack consisting of a cheese, vegemite or jam sandwich, a small fruit salad and a fruit muffin at a cost of $5.00. The IOU slip will be sent home to the parent or caregiver, and payment should be made to the Canteen the following day.
For any dietary concerns please feel free to contact our Lunchbox Head Chef.
The Iona Cafe is for parents, staff and senior students in Years 11 and 12.
The Iona Cafe has created the framework for senior students to have a ‘time out’, an effective study location and a reflective area that can be used for mentor meetings or a catch up with friends. It also provides staff the convenience of not having to travel to get a coffee and promotes the integration of faculties within the teaching environment.
The Iona Cafe is open from 7:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, allowing students to have a nutritious breakfast if running late, or enabling parents to purchase their morning coffee after dropping their child at school.
