SCAS organises various excursions and performances throughout the year to enrich students' learning experiences. Year Camps are mandatory, and their costs are incorporated into the Camp, Activity and Resource (CAR) Fee, which covers essential activities tied to the core academic and pastoral curriculum. However, additional fees may be required for some co-curricular excursions, electives, elective sports, Duke of Edinburgh, and some representative sports.
Outdoor Education is considered an important aspect of the curriculum, designed to provide learning and team-building experiences unavailable in a traditional classroom setting. The school aims to offer cost-effective camps that challenge and develop students intellectually, physically, and socially. These camps are conducted by school staff, with assistance from qualified specialist instructors as necessary.
Excursion details, including purpose, cost, itinerary, activities, medical requirements, conduct code, and dress standards, will be communicated via the Parent Portal before each event. Parental or caregiver permission is required for student participation. Parents with children who have special medical needs must meet with teachers before overnight excursions to discuss care routines.
Participation in camps and excursions is considered a privilege, and students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. Students who do not demonstrate appropriate behaviour leading up to or during these activities may not be allowed to attend, and if misbehaviour occurs, parents might be asked to collect their child from the venue.
