The Primary School Awards system recognises student achievement with a progression of awards that build over time. Awards accumulate year to year, counting towards higher honours.
Students receive Class Awards from their classroom or specialist teacher. Once they’ve earned five, they can present them to the Primary School Assistant or Head of Primary to receive a Principal’s Award. Principal’s Awards lead to badges and, ultimately, the prestigious Principal’s Medallion for those who achieve 12 Principal’s Awards during Primary School.
Class Awards, Principal’s Awards, and badges are presented at Stage Assemblies. Principal’s Medallions are awarded to Year 6 students at the end-of-year Primary School Awards Ceremony.
The Secondary School Awards system celebrates effort, improvement, involvement, and academic achievement through a positive commendation process.
Every 5 commendations after that earns a Principal’s Award.
The senior system mirrors this, with badges replacing Class Awards:
Formal awards are presented at the annual Prizegiving ceremonies.
